South African photobook company a success in early days

A South African company which produces photobooks has experience a surge of popularity in its first few months.

More than 10,000 photos have been uploaded to KilQa.com since it was set up two months ago, and it has seen interest from a total of 34 different countries worldwide and its first international order was posted to Paris this week.

The company has also been appointed as the official printer of the 1st Photographic Society of South Africa International Digital Salon catalogue, allowing photographers to use its tools to customise catalogues to include their own photographs.

Bosses at the firm put its popularity down to the custom software, which was the first of its kind to be developed in South Africa. It allows users to create, share and order photobooks completely online, so no software needs to be downloaded and no installations are required.

KilQa has been operating in the printing industry in South Africa for ten years. It has its headquarters in Port Elizabeth.
