Fill your Egypt holiday photo book with more than just pyramids

As the holiday season draws nearer people may be thinking about venturing to exotic Egypt for their summer breaks, but they should note there is more to country than its pyramids.

Think about coming home and putting all your pictures in a photo book. Wouldn't it be nice to have some variety in there?

Well that's exactly what On The Go Tours is telling travellers heading to the Middle Eastern country this summer.

Spokesman Andy Henderson said: "The Pyramids and the Sphinx are the first things you are going to think of. But you don't really realise how much more there is."

Mr Henderson suggested that Egypt visitors went to the Western Desert to experience "true Sahara". Other places worth making the effort for are the White Desert Abu Simbel and Luxor, which is where you will find the famous Valley of the Kings, he said.

If you manage to fit it all in, you'll have an amazingly diverse selection of pictures for your photo book when you get home.

Al Masra Al Youm said recently that figures showed a 17.5 per cent increase in tourism in Egypt in 2010.
