Head to the Philippines for a more interesting photobook

If you're looking for an interesting and original trip to give you holiday snaps to rival even the most seasoned traveller, why not consider heading to the Philippines?

An area of massive cultural diversity, from the stylish Manila to more rural areas of the country, snaps you took while holidaying there would give a truly varied and original photobook.

The Department of Tourism at the Embassy of the Philippines suggest that travellers looking to experience the vibrant festival season in the country should look at events which take place at the start of the year to get the best experience.

Chit Afuang, officer in charge at the department, said: "The fiesta is part and parcel of Filipino culture celebrated annually and in almost every corner of the country.

"It features some of the country's most colourful displays of ceremony and pageantry."

She suggested that Brits head to the Feast of the Black Nazarene and Sinulog Festival in January, or the Pahiyas festival in May.

With street vendors, dancing, brightly-coloured costumes and music, these would certainly be a great addition to any photobook.
