UK-based photobook company Albelli has offered up its tips on creating the perfect photobook for any occasion.

The company, which is part of a larger company based in Germany and the Netherlands, suggests that photobooks are the perfect gift for family and friends, or even just to put your own pictures together, but it has to be done right to hit the mark.

Firstly, the company advises that you pick the photos which you want in the book. Most people normally have a theme, it said.

Whether it's a family holiday, a wedding, or just shots of you and your friends having fun, you can make a photobook based around almost anything.

Once you know which pictures you want in the tome, all you have to do it upload them and add them to the template and layout of your choice. There is an almost endless amount of tools available to personalise the book, from adding your own text, to decorating the pages.

A spokesman for Albelli said: "The possibilities are almost endless for what you can include, depending on what type of photobook you are going to be making. Your photobook can be as simple as you like or as creative as you like.

Photobooks have become increasingly popular in the digital age, as many people no longer have physical copies of photos and instead upload them all to the computer.
