Watching dotingly from the VIP area at Glastonbury, Jay Z was sure to be thinking about how best to capture the historic moment as his wife Beyonce brought the festival to an energetic end.

Standing next to his good pal Gwyneth Paltrow, who herself was snapping away on her BlackBerry for her own personal photobook, Jay Z was probably considering that a memory book would be a great gift to his superstar wife.

It was, after all, the first time in over 20 years that a female had headlined the Pyramid Stage at the iconic festival.

She told the huge crowd: "I always wanted to be a rock star, and tonight we are all rock stars! I want to make beautiful memories and be free tonight."

Dressed in sparkling gold belted jacket and black hotpants, the R&B singer looked amazing as she delivered a feverishly energetic performance of some of her biggest hits as well as a few surprises, much to the delight of fans.
