One of the sisters from the aptly titled hit TV show Sister Sister has today become a mother for the first time.

Tia Mowry gave birth to an 8lbs baby boy.

Her actor husband Cory Hardrict was also at the Los Angeles hospital supporting his wife.

The TV star gave birth a week early, which comes after a false alarm earlier in June.

It'll be the perfect occasion to start building a memory book, which is what her twin sister Tamera is sure to be thinking.

Tia recently told E! News about her fantastic baby shower at The London hotel in West Hollywood, where she was spoiled with all sorts of great gifts to ready her for life as a mum.

She said: "They all showed up for a very important time and moment in my life. My husband made a little guest appearance and it was cute how he came in the room and then everyone started applauding him and that was beautiful."

The actress can currently be seen in a celebrity reality TV show along with her sister called Tia & Tamera Take 2.
