Prince performs electric show at the Hop Farm Festival

He might well be 53 but Prince has lost none of his legendary youthful zeal as he gave an extraordinary performance at the Hop Farm Festival.

Fans snapped away at the musician knowing full well that they were lucky to be at the show given that it will be his only live performance in the UK this year.

It will be something to look back on in a memory book, to say to their grandchildren, 'I was there.'

It was the first time since 2007 that the Purple Rain star has performed at a UK festival.

Showing that some things never change, Prince was dressed in a white silk outfit with a funky looking chain.

Even more impressive, the singer-songwriter was full of energy, dancing away as though it were 1999.

He played an impressive set that had fans screaming with absolute joy.

This included his own classics like Little Red Corvette, Let's Go Crazy and Take Me With You, as well as covers of Michael Jackson's Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough and Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U, which he actually wrote.
