The London Street Photography Festival 2011

Where better to get inspirational tips on how to take good "street-inspired" pictures for your own memory book than a photography festival.

Street Photography, by the way, is seen as un-posed and un-staged photography of contemporary society.

The London Street Photography Festival is a brand new addition to London's already rich cultural calendar that champions the very best in contemporary street photographers as well as showcasing and celebrating the masters of the past.

Taking place throughout the entire month of July, a diverse programme of shows, events, talks, workshops and walks, although as for the latter, how that works we don't quite know.

The majority of the festival's activities will take place around London's King Cross.

Work on show includes new photographs from George Georgiou, Mimi Mollica, Nick Turpin and Nils Jorgensen.

This is the first, of what is hoped to be many, festivals of its kind in London celebrating street photography.
