Pictures of Jonah Hill in his old photobooks look nothing like the newly svelte actor of today

You wouldn't recognise him if you browsed through his old photobooks. In fact, you still probably wouldn't recognise him if you browsed through his recent photobooks.

Jonah Hill, the once rotund comedic actor, famous for his witty roles in Superbad, Funny People, Knocked Up and Get Him to the Greek, has lost an amazing amount of weight since he began training and eating healthier. So much so he is barely recognisable.

The transformation is so stark that he is now being considered as a leading "hunk" rather than just a comedic sidekick.

This is important given that his chubby disposition was seen as part of his "loveable" character that has made him one of the most promising young comedians in Hollywood.

Fans, who are concerned that the weight loss might affect his comedic skills needn't worry. Way back in 2009, long before he even thought of losing weight, Hill told reporters: "Seth Rogan is all skinny now and he’s still hilarious. My weight doesn’t define me in any way.

"It’s not something I even talk about really because it’s not important to me. I am what I am."

He has lost approximately 40 pounds in the run up to his latest film 21 Jump Street, which is a remake of the classic late nineties TV show.
