Photography enthusiasts are being urged to attend the two-day Bangwallop Bash photography event in Salcombe, Devon, this August.

There are lots and lots of photography related activities to participate in, some for free and some at a cost.

For those aspiring photographers who want an expert to glance over their photobooks, leading landscape photographer Charlie Waite will be delivering portfolio reviews.

Hotly in demand, it is recommended that people book up as soon possible.

Other highlights include the Caravan Gallery, a mobile exhibition venue and visual arts project, a free children's pinhole photography class, a talk from the renowned Gered Mankowitz, who has photographed stars including Jimi Hendrix, Elton John and The Rolling Stones.

There's also the Bangwallop "shoot yourself" open studio session, where people can put their creative hands to the test in the photography studio.

The event runs from August 5th to August 6th.

Bangwallop is a fresh, innovative photographic venue based in the heart of Salcombe's traditional boat-building area and its emerging arts quarter.
