Twitter finally introduces its own photo-sharing feature

Twitter has finally integrated a photo-sharing feature on its free social media website making it easier than ever to share pictures.

It now means that users of the popular website, which includes celebrities and politicians, can upload pictures without having to use a separate service.

Twitter users will today (August 10th) notice that two new icons have popped up on their homepage.

Situated in the bottom left hand corner, one of the buttons allows users to upload pictures and the other button allows people to add their location.

It's not all doom and gloom for third party Twitter-picture sites as Twitter will continue to support Flickr, Twitpic and yFrog.
On its website, Twitter said: "You’ll be able to view images hosted on most 3rd party images providers indefinitely."

The images for Twitter will be hosted by Photobucket, which is now integrated into its website.

This is the latest in a number of moves that has seen the ever-popular social networking site refine and modify its services.

Only recently it introduced its own "automatic link shortening tool".
