Two weeks left to enter €50,000 photojournalism award

Aspiring photographers who take a gentle peruse through their photobooks and smile with quiet confidence that they have a canny knack for a good picture might want to think about entering one of their snaps in a €50,000 photojournalism award.

There are two weeks left to enter the Carmignac Gestion Photojournalism Award, which is now in its third year.

In a press release it stated: "True to its humanist approach, the Carmignac Gestion Foundation wishes to use this award to give these key witnesses of today’s world the means to go where others will not, and to continue visiting zones that are largely ignored by the mainstream media outside periods of conflict."

Entries will be judged by a panel chaired by Susan Meiselas, a Magnum Photos member.

Some of the judges include Sophie Bouillon, Philippe Guionie, Yacoubé Konaté, Françoise Huguier and Patrick de Saint Exupery.
