Pump up photobooks with a photography course

Amateur photographers who are just getting into taking snaps should consider going on a course to pump up the quality of their photobooks.

One such course, which starts in January 2012, is being offered by David Montgomery, a legendary photographer who has taken portraits of some the biggest names in politics, culture, sports and entertainment.

This includes, among a cast of many, U2, Alfred Hitchcock, Muhammad Ali, Margaret Thatcher, Lucien Freud, Bill Clinton, Paul McCartney, Pierce Brosnan, Jack Straw, Jimi Hendrix and Prince Harry.

The 12-week course, which is being held at Tower Bridge Studios in London, will be delivered by Montgomery himself, taking students on a special journey through photography.

Some of the sessions include, Shutter and Aperture, which looks at their relationship with one another and Light is Light, which helps students develop a better understanding of a photographers relationship with light.

It will undoubtedly be a course full of revelations, such is Montgomery's skill and renown.

His photography has featured in Rolling Stone, Vogue, the Telegraph, the Times and Houser and Garden.
