Iconic images in Don Pyle's punk rock photobook

If you've ever wondered what life was like in the back rooms of Canada's music venues before big acts went on stage, Trouble in the Camera Club could be the photobook for you.

Chronicler Don Pyle has put the book together from a series of photographs and accounts collected during his time following some of the biggest punk rock bands in the world, The New Post reported.

The Ramones, the Diodes and Teenage Head are all featured in the book. Photos were taken in now-iconic venues such as El Mocambo, the Masonic Temple and the New Yorker Theatre.

Pyle used his Canon AT-1 camera to document the Toronto music scene from 1976 and caught everyone from Patti Smith to the Clash through his automatic lens.

He told the news provider that he stocked shelves and handed out flyers in order to earn the money to buy the camera, which was the most expensive thing he ever bought.

This book of music and memories tells the story of the birth of punk rock.

Artists in the punk rock genre included the Sex Pistols and The Who.
